Understand the site's non-affiliation, starter-data scope, browser-tool limits, and verification boundaries.

FilterBlade at this site is an independent, unofficial fan-made toolkit and educational resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Grinding Gear Games, NeverSink, or filterblade.xyz. The site does not represent those parties or provide their customer support. References to games, filter concepts, and other services identify the subject being discussed; they do not imply permission to act on another organization’s behalf or a shared account system.

Original tools with a limited purpose

The supplied tools help users create original starter filters, inspect syntax, explore supported item matching, compare text, and review visual choices. They are not an official implementation of the complete game client. They do not replace the client’s parser, item system, or rendering behavior. A browser result should be read together with its supported feature list and any warnings, not treated as certification that every part of a file will work in every game mode or release.

A generated filter is a starting point for review. It may not describe every item category or exception that matters to a particular character. You remain responsible for choosing what to show, emphasize, or hide. Keep a known-good backup, save experimental files under distinct names, and test representative cases before relying on a new configuration during an important session. A smaller, explainable change is generally easier to verify than a large unreviewed replacement.

No live economy or account-aware recommendations

The starter data is original educational data, not copied NeverSink tiers or a live price feed. A highlighted item is not a statement of its current market value, liquidity, rarity, or suitability for a particular build. Preset names such as Regular or Strict are descriptive labels and may mean different things in other filters. They should not be interpreted as a universal industry standard or a guarantee that a similarly named preset elsewhere behaves the same way.

The site does not log in to your Path of Exile account, inspect your character, synchronize through OAuth, or know which equipment you currently need. Advice about strictness therefore describes decision-making methods rather than individualized recommendations. Changes in game systems, character goals, trade conditions, or your tolerance for label clutter may justify different settings even when the filter language itself has not changed.

Syntax validation is not complete behavioral proof

A validator checks the syntax and rules it implements. It may not support every current keyword, mode restriction, interaction, or external dependency. Read warnings about unsupported features and unresolved imports carefully. A file that passes available checks can still express the wrong intention or fail in a client context not covered by those checks. Conversely, a warning about an unsupported feature does not necessarily mean that the official language rejects it.

Compare uncertain instructions with the relevant official documentation and test them in the intended client when possible. Documentation review dates describe when sources were reviewed; they are not claims that a specific game patch was installed and tested. Unless a page explicitly reports a real client check with its scope, assume that in-game verification remains pending. Do not infer broad platform compatibility from a narrow example.

Item evaluation and missing information

The item tester evaluates a supported subset of conditions against the properties it can obtain from supplied item text. A missing property, unsupported condition, or unresolved import can make the result unknown. Unknown does not mean shown, hidden, safe, or invalid. It means that a definite conclusion requires information or semantics the tool does not have. Later matching rules and Continue behavior can also depend on an unresolved earlier path.

A plausible label preview is not enough to remove that uncertainty. Record the expected outcome, review the indicated blocks, and obtain the missing evidence. Include neighboring non-matching cases and threshold boundaries in your tests, not only an example designed to match. The regression-testing article explains how to create a small repeatable set without claiming exhaustive coverage.

Local files, sound, and installation

A web page cannot freely inspect the contents of your game directory. Unless you explicitly supply relevant files or an inventory through a supported feature, custom sound availability and imported text remain unverified. An unverified sound is not necessarily missing. A syntactically valid reference also does not prove that the asset exists, is licensed for your use, or will play correctly on your device.

Installation paths and interface labels can vary by platform, configuration, and client version. Prefer controls in the actual client that locate its filter folder when available. Desktop instructions do not establish console support, and a forum example does not establish an official cross-platform procedure. Confirm the file extension, active filename, successful load, and representative behavior separately. See the installation guide for the workflow and its verification boundaries.

Color, contrast, and accessibility

The palette tool calculates modeled contrast and provides approximate visual previews. Ground color, alpha compositing, game effects, display calibration, viewing distance, and individual perception can change the real experience. Color-vision simulations are approximations, not medical assessments or guarantees that a palette is accessible to every user. Web contrast references are useful design aids but do not certify a game’s final rendering.

Use more than hue alone for important distinctions, and do not make sound the only signal for a critical category. Test long labels, dense groups, bright terrain, and muted audio where relevant. Accessibility is an ongoing practical concern, not a claim established by one ratio or automated report. The site’s own accessibility statement must likewise reflect actual testing rather than an unsupported assertion of conformance.
